A colour pencil work? I certainly can't speak for the receipient, but I would consider myself lucky if I were gifted with a work like this one ^__^ The pencils are priceless here, blending the rich mulitude of colours with the soft, bleached tones; the drawing is eye- catching enough to draw the watcher to look closer and delicate enough to keep him looking longer The background is a perfect finishing touch- colour- wise, the drawing is extremely pleasant and relaxing to look at
That is, once the awe from taking a close look at the characters' faces subsides The two boys are excellent, both in terms of lineart and colouring The hair is really impressive, especially the light ash/ dirty blonde to the right- with a colour so strange, unusual but natural at the same time, who needs green- or blue- haired characters? ^__^ The part that shocked me the most, however, are the eyes of both of the boys: dark, glittering and deep, they make a jaw- dropping illustration to the real (if amazing), hard- to- define colours A perfect way to protrait the characters as both unusual and believable at the same time, they make a powerful focus for the drawing as a whole without distrupting the overall balance of it
You've produced an amazing and very tasteful piece of art- I'm certain the reciever will be more than happy with it, even if it came a single day late!
